Brandi Glanville, the 52-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, is grappling with a concerning condition that has caused noticeable changes to her face. Speaking on PageSix’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, she opened up about her struggle with what she suspects might be a face “parasite.” Glanville revealed that she’s been working with a doctor and restarted antibiotics after noticing her face “sinking in.”
She shared her frustration and emotional toll, saying, “I prefer my face when it’s a little swollen, to be honest. When it’s only swollen on one side, it’s not great. But the sinking in thing is killing me slowly, because I just feel like I look like a crackhead.”
Glanville admitted that her appearance fluctuates, with some days better than others. She described a weekend when the swelling was only on one side of her face, calling it “disgusting” and comparing it to having “a really big meatball” in her cheek. She described the feeling of her face being filled with an “oily fluid,” which she found difficult to conceal, especially during the holiday season when everyone around her is celebrating.
The reality star also spoke about the emotional toll the condition has taken on her. She confessed that the pain is “more mental than anything” and that it’s been hard to cope with the physical changes. Her appearance has even scared her children, prompting her to wear a mask around the house to avoid frightening them.
“I’ve been hiding and going through a deep, deep depression,” she shared. “Even if I could work now, at this point, I couldn’t. So it’s just been a really rough two years for me.”
Despite the challenges, Brandi expressed a strong desire for a solution, saying she’s open to any treatment that could help her feel more like herself again.
