Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of former NFL star Earl Thomas, is facing multiple criminal charges after being accused of orchestrating a scheme to fraudulently obtain millions of dollars from the ex-Seattle Seahawks safety. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, federal prosecutors allege that Nina and an unnamed co-conspirator began illegally siphoning money and property from Earl in September 2021, shortly after Nina had filed for divorce in 2020.
The documents claim the duo transferred over $2.7 million into accounts they controlled, using some of the funds for personal luxuries such as breast implants and a Hermes Birkin handbag. An arrest warrant was issued for Nina on December 13, and she was taken into custody three days later. She was released shortly afterward but now faces charges including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
Nina and Earl were married in April 2016 in a high-profile wedding attended by celebrities like Russell Wilson and Ciara. However, their relationship ended tumultuously in 2020 following an incident where Nina was accused of holding a loaded gun to Earl’s head after allegedly catching him cheating.
Since her arrest, Nina, now describing herself as a real estate agent, has remained active on social media but has not addressed the allegations publicly. The case highlights a dramatic fallout from their once-celebrated marriage and leaves Nina facing serious legal consequences.
