Ariana Grande recently discussed the title change for Wicked: Part Two, which is now officially called Wicked: For Good. In an interview with Variety, Ariana revealed that the title has been a part of the project since the beginning, with the phrase “For Good” printed on the original scripts they received. She mentioned that while other title ideas were considered, they became very attached to For Good, as it felt like the perfect fit for the sequel. Ariana emphasized that the project has had a profound impact on the cast, saying, “This project really has changed us for good.”
The new title is a nod to the famous Act Two duet between Elphaba and Glinda, also titled “For Good,” making it a meaningful reference for fans of the musical. With the success of the first Wicked movie, which has already grossed $527 million worldwide in just 25 days, the anticipation for the sequel is building. The movie is slated for release in theaters in November 2025.
As for the cast, while details on specific changes remain sparse, fans are eager to see how the characters and story evolve in Wicked: For Good.
