Justin Baldoni, who plays Ryle in the film It Ends With Us, also directed the movie, marking his third directorial project after Five Feet Apart (2019) and Clouds (2020). His wife, Emily Baldoni, who has appeared in his previous films and TV shows, also has a role in It Ends With Us. She plays Dr. Julie, the doctor who performs an ultrasound on Lily Bloom and informs her that she’s having a baby girl.
Justin and Emily, married since 2013, have two children—nine-year-old Maiya Grace and six-year-old Maxwell Roland-Samuel. Their love story gained widespread attention when Justin shared a viral YouTube video of his elaborate proposal to Emily in 2013. The proposal, which took place at the restaurant where they had their first date, was captured using hidden cameras and featured a 27-minute video journey leading to the moment he asked her to marry him.
Emily, originally from Sweden, has had a successful acting career, appearing in Justin’s films Five Feet Apart and Clouds, as well as in Jane the Virgin. She has also guest-starred in popular TV shows like Mad Men, Rizzoli & Isles, and The Mentalist.
