Bob Dylan has shared his thoughts on the upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown, which will explore his life during the early ’60s. The 83-year-old musician took to Twitter/X to praise Timothée Chalamet, who will portray him in the lead role, saying, “Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.”
Dylan also revealed that the film is based on Elijah Wald’s Dylan Goes Electric, a book that delves into the events leading up to the famous 1965 Newport Folk Festival performance. He encouraged fans to read the book after watching the film for a deeper understanding.
The movie, which has generated a lot of buzz since the release of its official trailer in October, is set to premiere on December 25th.
