In an ongoing legal battle, Dawn Richard, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane, has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexual assault, inhumane treatment, and preventing her from eating and sleeping during their time working together. Richard also claims to have witnessed Combs physically abuse his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.
Richard’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, has revealed in an interview that Richard alleges Combs groped her and sexually assaulted her. She also describes the environment as violent and tumultuous, with Combs exhibiting a vicious temper that terrified Richard. Richard’s claims align with other allegations of abuse and coercion, including accusations that people were drugged and forced into sexual activity in exchange for business deals with Combs.
Combs is currently awaiting trial in Brooklyn for sex trafficking and racketeering charges, with the trial set for May 2025. His legal team has sought bail multiple times, offering $50 million in security, a promise to turn in his passport, and no contact with anyone except his attorneys. Despite these offers, Combs’ request for bail has been denied so far, with a decision on his latest appeal expected in the coming days.
