Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton and his family were involved in a car accident, the team has confirmed.
The 36-year-old football star and his family are seemingly okay as no one was transported to the hospital, but it’s unclear if Andy will play in the team’s upcoming game on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Panthers has confirmed that Andy was driving with his wife and their three kids, plus their dog, when the accident occurred. The incident happened about seven miles away from the Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Dalton was being evaluated by team medical personnel,” ESPN reports. A team practice is scheduled for Wednesday and there will seemingly be more updates then.
No information is available right now about Dalton‘s status for the Panthers’ game against the Denver Broncos this weekend.
