Smile 2 just arrived in theaters, and it’s already a hit at the box office.
Here’s the synopsis: About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.
Now, fans are curious to know if there will be a third installment of the horror series.
Writer and director Parker Finn talked about the possibility in an interview with THR.

When asked about the ending of Smile 2, and a potential third film to follow, he laughed.
“Well, there’s a lot of really exciting places that Smile could go to from here,” he went on.
“I love this idea that potential future iterations of Smile could go bigger and more off the rails and even crazier and more unhinged.”
“But, for me, what’s important about Smile is that there is a real human, character-driven, intimate nature to the storytelling. So even if the world gets much larger, I’d want to make sure that the stories we’re telling inside of it are still quite impactful on a human level,” he continued.
He was also asked about whether he’d remake Possession, to which he said: “It would take somebody out of their mind to remake Possession, and I think I might be just the guy.”
