Additional details are coming to light about Liam Payne‘s death, including a portion of the 911 call that the hotel manager made shortly before he fell from the building’s third floor.
The “Teardrops” singer tragically died at the age of 31 on Wednesday (October 16) while on vacation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
A statement from SAME, Buenos Aires Emergency Medical Services, said that Liam “had injuries incompatible with life.” His death was confirmed on the scene.

In a statement shared with the Associated Press, Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, alleged that Liam “had jumped from the balcony of his room.”
He noted that police were responding to reports about an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
The outlet also obtained the 911 call. In it, the hotel manager said that there was “a guest who is overwhelmed with drugs and alcohol,” adding, “He’s destroying the entire room and, well, we need you to send someone, please.”
It is believed that Liam suffered a “skull base fracture.” However, an autopsy will still be performed. An investigation into the tragedy is also ongoing.
