Elizabeth Henstridge is joined the cast of Superman & Lois!
On Monday (Oct. 7), it was announced that the 37-year-old Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress will be playing a key role in the upcoming fourth and final season of The CW series, which stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in the titular roles.
Keep reading to find out more…Superman & Lois executive producer Brent Fletcher confirmed to ComicBook that Elizabeth will be playing Lex Luthor’s (Michael Cudlitz) estranged daughter in the upcoming season.
“I worked with her on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and she’s unbelievable,” Brent Fletcher told ComicBook. “She’s an unbelievable actress and just the greatest person to work with. She is so nice and awesome at what she does. Our crew loves her, she loves our crew… we built it for her. She was the only person we ever went to with it.”
“We tried to give everybody a swan song this year,” he added. “Like, ‘What if you did that?’ And she said yes.”
Elizabeth‘s character, whose name has not been disclosed, left in her teens after her father was convicted of murder and sent to prison.
In the new season, Lex Luthor is fixated on reuniting with his estranged daughter. As of right now, it’s unclear how many episodes Elizabeth will be appearing in.
Before joining the cast as Lex Luthor’s daughter, Elizabeth directed two episodes of Superman & Lois, one in season 2 and one in season 3. She will also be directed episode 5 in season 4.
