Kathy Hilton is sharing an update on her sister Kim Richards.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Kim, 60, had a substance abuse relapse and was reportedly placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold then taken to a hospital following “incoherent” behavior.
In a new interview, Kathy, 65, was asked about how Kim is doing amid her reported relapse.
Keep reading to find out more…“Kim and I have never had issues or anything,” Kathy told Us Weekly. “She is going through a tough time and she’s doing better now.”
Law enforcement also revealed that they had to intervene following an incident between Kim and sister Kyle Richards after Kyle, 55, first let Kim stay at one of her houses in L.A., but then told her to leave amid this reported relapse. The police told Kyle that she needed to file an eviction notice to get Kim out of the house.
As viewers of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recall, Kim has very publicly battled substance abuse issues for years. Back in 2011, Bravo stepped in to pay for Kim‘s rehab stay.
In 2019, Kyle credited Bravo for saving Kim‘s life, saying on The Jenny McCarthy Show, “If anything, being on the show made her accountable and she says that as well.”
“She says that it saved her life because you know, there’s nowhere to hide and everyone knows — now anywhere she goes, people know who she is,” Kyle added. “She can’t get away with anything! So it actually helped her!”
Kyle has not yet addressed the situation with Kim.
