Tia Mowry is opening up about losing her virginity.
During the premiere episode of her new reality show Tia Mowry: My Next Act on Friday (Oct. 5), the 46-year-old Sister, Sister actress revealed how old she was when she lost her virginity to now ex-husband Cory Hardrict.
Keep reading to find out more…While talking with her friend and actress Essence Atkins, Tia admitted that she finds the dating scene very intimidating, while also revealing that Cory, 44, was her first, and only, sexual partner.
“You know I’ve never dated. Cory was my first…everything,” Tia said as Essence responded, “That’s right, you haven’t!”
In a confessional Tia said, “I wasn’t even allowed to date until I was 18 years old. I met Cory when I turned 20 and I lost my virginity at 25. There, I said it! And then we got married! Boom!”
Later in the episode, Tia said that she was scared to leave her marriage, but admitted that she had grown frustrated having to put on a happy face in public, but feeling “alone” behind closed doors.
“I got tired of showing up at events and people thinking that everything was perfect and it wasn’t,” Tia said. “I’d go home and feel alone.”
“My persona as a celebrity is kinda the girl next door — the white picket fence — and what I didn’t show was what was really going on in my marriage,” she continued. “Maybe I was trying to live a fantasy.”
Tia and Cory split in 2023 after 15 years of marriage. Together, they share son Cree, 13, and daughter Cairo, 6.
