Dorinda Medley opened up about a conversation that she had with her The Traitors costar Sam Asghari about his divorce… before the knew that he was married to Britney Spears.
During a recent interview, the Real Housewives alum explained that she had “no idea” who Sam was when they competed on the show together.
She shared the funny story about their conversation and how she found out who he had been married to. Dorinda also revealed if Sam spilled any tea about the divorce settlement.

“This is a funny story. Swear to God, it’s true. Cross my heart. I had no idea who Sam was,” Dorinda admitted while on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show.
She continued, saying, “I was advising him about how it is to go through a divorce and are you, ‘What does your wife do?’ and finally, Britney [Haynes]‘s like, ‘Dorinda, that is Britney Spears‘ ex.’ I had no idea. You know, I’m sort of one of these people that kind of, I’m very good at being in this world and very good at being not in this world and I think that’s how I’ve kept my sanity all these years.”
Dorinda was asked if Sam said that he “signed [his] life away,” but Dorinda made it clear that they weren’t talking about those specifics of the breakup.
“I was like, ‘Are you heartbroken?’ and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, you’re young. You’ll meet someone again. I’m sure she was great,’ and Britney‘s like, ‘What is wrong with you?’”
She added, “I was mothering him ’cause that’s what I naturally do. You know, I love to mother. I love to cook for people, take care of them, work them through their problems. That’s what comes very naturally to me.”
