Eva Longoria has made a generous seven-figure donation to assist those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The $1 million contribution comes from the $50 million Jeff Bezos Courage and Civility Award she received in March. Longoria, who has a decade to use the funds for charitable purposes, is already making a positive impact.
Her donation will support the Latino Community Foundation, led by Julian Castro, and the California Community Foundation, helping both immediate and long-term needs of individuals displaced by the fires. The wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, have caused significant damage, displacing thousands of families and destroying over 12,000 structures in the L.A. area.
Other celebrities, such as Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Anthony Davis, and Jason Oppenheim, have also pledged their support to the relief efforts.
