Ben Affleck has been caught up in the ongoing life-threatening wildfires in California. His recently purchased home, a five-bedroom, six-bathroom property he acquired in July 2024, lies within the mandatory evacuation zone. This comes just after Affleck and Jennifer Lopez finalized their divorce earlier this week, adding to the challenges he’s facing in 2025.
Affleck reportedly sought refuge at the home of his first wife, Jennifer Garner, who lives nearby with their three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12. Fortunately, Garner’s area has not been affected by the fires.
The fires, which began on January 7, 2025, are still raging and have caused immense devastation. At least two fatalities have been confirmed, and over 1,000 homes and businesses have been destroyed. Many other celebrities have also been impacted, including James Woods and Anna Faris, whose homes were destroyed. Spencer Pratt shared on social media the damage to his mansion, while Cameron Mathison mourned the loss of his family home, which he had hoped to pass down to his children.
High wind warnings continue to hinder containment efforts, and it’s too soon to estimate the full scale of the damage. As more information becomes available, updates on the ongoing situation will follow. Our thoughts are with all those affected.
