Nicole Reffitt, wife of convicted January 6 rioter Guy Reffitt, expressed unwavering optimism during an appearance on TMZ Live about her husband receiving a pardon from Donald Trump. She revealed that she’s been in touch with individuals close to the Trump administration and anticipates swift action once Trump takes office on January 20.
Guy Reffitt, currently serving an 80-month sentence, was one of the first people convicted for his role in the Capitol riots. Despite his conviction, Nicole defended her husband and downplayed the severity of the events, framing the riot as a misunderstanding rather than an attempt to overthrow the government. She also attributed much of the blame to security lapses rather than Trump’s rhetoric.
The Reffitt family, however, remains divided. Guy’s son, Jackson Reffitt, famously turned his father in to authorities, a decision that garnered national attention. Despite this, Nicole believes that Trump’s return could not only secure Guy’s release but also mend her fractured family and, ultimately, the nation.
Nicole’s remarks highlight the ongoing polarization surrounding January 6 and the possibility of high-profile pardons as Trump prepares to reenter the political stage.
