Dana White has taken on a new role: joining the Meta Board of Directors alongside Mark Zuckerberg. The UFC President made the announcement on Monday, expressing his enthusiasm for social media, artificial intelligence, and the impact they have on the future. White, who typically avoids joining boards, said this opportunity was different due to his respect for Zuckerberg and Meta’s vision.
“There is nothing I love more than building brands, and I look forward to helping take Meta to the next level,” White said.
Zuckerberg, equally excited about the partnership, highlighted White’s success in transforming the UFC into a global powerhouse. “I’ve admired him as an entrepreneur and his ability to build such a beloved brand,” Zuckerberg said.
White joins new board members John Elkann and Charlie Songhurst, as Meta focuses on expanding its initiatives in AI, wearables, and the future of social media. Given Zuckerberg and White’s long-standing friendship, including Zuckerberg’s regular attendance at UFC events, the collaboration seems like a natural fit.
