Tee Higgins spoke about Joe Burrow’s response to the break-in at his Cincinnati home earlier this month, which occurred while Burrow was in Texas playing a Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the unsettling event, where a window was smashed and Burrow’s bedroom was ransacked, Higgins mentioned that Burrow is handling the situation very well and hasn’t shown any significant change in demeanor. He explained that Burrow dealt with the incident personally and hasn’t been distracted by it.
Higgins also revealed that, while the team hasn’t held a meeting to discuss the break-in, he and some of his Bengals teammates have been considering increasing their personal security in light of the crime.
As for his own future, Higgins, an impending free agent, expressed his desire to stay with the Bengals but acknowledged the unpredictable nature of the business. He said, “I’m going wherever God is willing,” recognizing that there’s only so much control he has over his situation.
With just three games left in the season and the Bengals’ playoff hopes slim, Higgins remains focused on helping the team win out.
