Netflix has announced the premiere date for the second and final season of Mo, along with first-look photos. The award-winning series, created by and starring Mohammed “Mo” Amer, will return on January 30, 2025. The new season picks up with Mo Najjar, a Palestinian navigating life in the U.S. while stuck between cultures, struggling to get back to Houston before his family’s asylum hearing. But his journey proves to be just the beginning of his troubles, especially with a new rival who threatens both his love life and his falafel taco recipe.
Amer, who also directs and executive produces the show, expressed his gratitude for continuing to share Mo’s story, which resonates with many refugees and underrepresented individuals around the world. The series, produced by A24, also stars Teresa Ruiz, Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba, Tobe Nwigwe, Simon Rex, and Johanna Braddy. Season two will consist of eight episodes, just like the first season, and promises more of the show’s trademark humor and heart.
While fans eagerly await the official trailer, Netflix has released first-look images, offering a glimpse into the upcoming season, including family meals, Mo’s leading ladies, and moments of reflection, giving us a taste of the drama and comedy to come.
