Max Verstappen has secured his fourth Formula 1 World Championship after a strong performance at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. The 27-year-old Dutch driver only needed to finish ahead of Lando Norris to seal the title, and with a fifth-place finish in the race, he clinched the championship with ease.
While George Russell claimed the top spot, followed by Lewis Hamilton in second, and Carlos Sainz in third, Verstappen’s result was enough to put him beyond the reach of his rival Lando Norris, who finished in sixth place.
With just two races remaining in the season, the championship for Red Bull driver Verstappen was secure, marking a historic moment as he joins an elite group of drivers with four or more World Championships. The prestigious list includes Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Alain Prost, and Juan Manuel Fangio.
In addition to Verstappen’s individual triumph, McLaren is currently in a battle for the Constructors’ Championship with Ferrari, while Red Bull is in third place.
Congratulations to Max Verstappen on his remarkable achievement in the world of Formula 1!
