Wicked Part Two is officially set to be released on November 21, 2025, exactly one year after the release of the first movie! Fans of the Broadway musical will be able to continue the journey through Oz, with many of the iconic songs from the stage show returning, including “No Good Deed,” “As Long As You’re Mine,” and “For Good.” Composer Stephen Schwartz has also written two new songs specifically for the sequel, adding even more excitement for what’s to come.
Director Jon M. Chu and Universal Pictures chose to split the film into two parts to stay true to the expansive nature of the original material, ensuring the story is told without sacrificing its depth. The first part of the movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes, which is already longer than the 2.5-hour stage version. While the exact length of part two is still under wraps, fans can rest assured it will continue to bring the magic and drama of Oz to the big screen in a satisfying way.
With the release date set for November 2025, there’s still a lot to look forward to in the coming year—so get ready to return to Oz and see how the rest of the story unfolds!
