Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey were spotted together at a photocall for Wicked: Part One in London on November 20, 2024. The actors, who portray Elphaba and Fiyero in the film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, attended the event at the Greenwich Observatory to promote the upcoming movie, which will be released in theaters on November 22.
For the occasion, Cynthia honored her character’s iconic emerald skin by wearing a vibrant green suit over a black top with dramatic sleeves, while Jonathan sported oversized pants paired with a fur-lined jacket. The duo showed off their excellent chemistry as they posed for photos, embodying their characters from the musical.
They were joined at the event by costar Jeff Goldblum and the film’s director, Jon M. Chu. In an interesting tidbit, Jon M. Chu shared that he nearly didn’t cast Cynthia and Ariana Grande (who plays Glinda) in the roles, though they ultimately became part of the star-studded cast.
Cynthia wore a custom Moschino look for the event. Fans are eagerly anticipating Wicked: Part One, with Part Two slated for release in the future.
