Amanda Kloots has clarified her recent comments about her Dancing with the Stars partner, Alan Bersten, after her initial remarks sparked controversy. In a recent interview, Amanda, 42, had described the 30-year-old pro dancer as “very mean” and mentioned that he had “yelled” at her during their time together on the show.
Following the viral reaction to her words, Amanda took to Instagram to “set the record straight.” She shared a selfie with Alan and emphasized that they became “the best of friends” while working together on DWTS and remain close today.
“We joked then and now about how tough he was on me but believe me, I grew up in the ballet world knowing very tough teachers,” she wrote, further explaining that their relationship was built on laughter, tears, and a strong partnership.
Amanda also expressed her gratitude to Alan for helping her rediscover her love for dance after the devastating loss of her husband, Nick Cordero, to COVID-19 in 2020. “Alan helped me tremendously with healing and grief and finding my love for dance again,” she wrote, adding that she would be forever grateful to him.
She concluded her message by encouraging fans to vote for Alan and his current DWTS partner, Ilona Maher, as they compete in season 33 of the show.
In a separate development, the DWTS semi-finals ended with a surprising twist, keeping fans on edge for the next round.
