Earlier this week, the 26-year-old “Nobody Knows” hitmaker opened up about his relationship with the “Godspeed” pop star in an interview.
The interview addressed their current relationship status and how their split was “brutal.”

On Wednesday (October 2), Shawn took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to a fan who said that he and his ex “don’t play about each other.”
“No we don’t,” he wrote.
He continued in a second post some time later, writing, “and yeah part of me knows quoting a tweet and saying that is gunna start a little spin up and i guess to be honest part of me just wanted to address it and actually have a real honest relationship with you guys about how it feels from my side. I also would love to know how it feels for you.”
A fan responded, saying that most of his followers were focused on the music and him “feeling happy again.”
“I think you’re right,” Shawn agreed, “& that means so much to me. My human just gets caught up in the drama sometimes.”
Someone asked for additional clarity about his response, and he wrote, “i guess to be honest it came from a place of being a little annoyed with all the projection over the last few months about us. I’m usually pretty good at just watching all the ‘noise’ go by but lately it’s been kinda bugging me 🤷🏻♂️ feeling human i guess.”
“it’s pretty intimidating to come online and be honest and vulnerable considering how quickly our words can be twisted and used against us but tbh i really just care about having a real relationship with you guys,” he added. “where i got you and you got me and all the rest is just noise.”
