Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ attorney is speaking out.
After being denied bail for the second time, it was reported on Thursday (Sept. 19), that the 54-year-old rapper is on suicide watch while in jail as he awaits trial on three counts of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The following morning, Diddy‘s attorney reacted to the suicide watch reports and shared an update on how the rapper is doing.
Keep reading to find out more…In a statement to TMZ, Diddy‘s attorney Marc Agnifilo said that suicide watch is merely a routine measure for “new, high-profile inmates.”
Agnifilo noted that he spent six hours with Diddy on Thursday at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he is being held, and said that the rapper is “not at all suicidal.”
He added that Diddy is “strong, healthy, confident and focused on his defense.”
